Chris Cornell - former Soundgarden singer - dies unexpectedly aged 52

The singer Chris Cornell, of Soundgarden, Audioslave, and Temple Of The Dog Fame was found dead on Wednesday night, he was only 52.

In a statement to the Associated Press, his representative, Brian Bumbery, said Cornell died on Wednesday night in Detroit, and his death was called “sudden and unexpected”, he said his wife and family were shocked. The statement said the family would be working closely with the medical examiner to determine the cause, and asked for privacy at this time.
